"If You are Suffering with Irritating Back Pain and Stiffness that Stops You Doing the Things You Love - Ian Thornley Osteopathy has the solution to your problem"

Do you have the feeling that your back is getting stiffer and stiffer as time goes on -  no matter what you do?

Have you been told that it's 'to be expected' at your age or that 'everyone gets stiffness'?

Are you worried about where the pain and stiffness has come from or worried that it's going to get worse?

The good news is this:

You're Not Alone

and we help people with this exact type of problem all the time

Does this sound like you?

Most people with back pain in the Sevenoaks area developed it out of the blue.  Maybe it started when lifting something or maybe they just woke up with it one day.

They usually hope that it will just go away, but it hasn't.

Before long they have been worrying about it for months... and it's only getting worse and having a bigger impact on their lives.

They may have been to their GP and been advised to rest and take painkillers.

However, we know that this advice for back pain is usually not very good, and can actually make things worse in the long run.

The truth is that back pain isn't usually caused by one specific injury -  it is usually the result of build up of stress and strain over months or even years.  Rest won't help in the long run, and neither will painkillers.

Many people have had back pain and you have probably been told dozens of different things about your back pain by well meaning family and friends.  Maybe it was all contradictory and probably left you confused about what to do for the best.

If any of the above sounds like you we would love to speak to you and tell you how we can help.

Currently suffering from back pain?  Here are 5 things you can do TODAY to help
  1. Avoid too much rest: Have you been told to rest following an injury?  With back pain this is usually not a good idea, even though it sounds counter intuitive -  gentle movement is best.

  2. Make a plan to get better: many people with back pain use the 'hope and wait' approach to their pain, hoping that it will go away.  It often doesn't -  you need a plan to laid out to help you get better before it gets worse!

  3. Choose the right exercises: Exercises are a really important part of back pain recovery.  However, with so many out there it is easy to choose the wrong ones and make your pain worse.  Speak to our osteopath and back pain specialist on the phone today who can advise you.

  4. Get effective hands-on treatment: Hands-on, effective, osteopathic treatment can be very good for tackling back pain.  This type of treatment is often not available on the NHS due to the limited time and resources available.  Hands-on treatment along with an individualised exercise programme has been shown to be incredibly effective for back pain.

  5. Take our 100% free back pain guide: Our guide "10 Expert Osteo Tips to Stop Back Pain and Stiffness that Prevents You Doing the Things You Love" is currently free and you can take it today and get started at home straight away! Click here to download
